Microsoft announces the integration of Copilot AI into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, even for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions. These tools promise to assist with document creation, data analysis, and email management. However, this new feature comes with a significant price increase.

❌ +43% for Microsoft 365 Personal

❌ +30% for Microsoft 365 Family

💡 My perspective as a CIO: A false good deal for SMEs.

Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) believe they can save money by opting for Microsoft 365 Family subscriptions, attracted by the possibility of sharing up to six licenses. But in my opinion, this is a strategic mistake.

➡️ These offers are not suitable for professional use. They limit centralized management, access to advanced collaborative tools (such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint), and generate unclear and difficult-to-manage billing.

✅ A professional subscription (Business Standard or Premium) offers:

- Centralized management of licenses and users.

- All the collaboration tools, essential for teamwork.

- Compliance with a company's needs, particularly in terms of security and data.

🌍 Conclusion: If you run a business, even a small one, opt for professional licenses. In the long run, they optimize your organization and reduce your risks.
