[Customer Case] 🚨 "Vincent, my website is selling medication... without my knowledge!"

This is a real-life case that I will detail during my next training session at the Community of Municipalities of the Cantilienne Area . Among many other cyber traps specifically targeting the leaders of very small and small businesses, we will see how to avoid this kind of catastrophic scenario.

The story? An emergency call received less than a month ago from the manager of a premium tourist accommodation. With one click, his clients were being redirected to a foreign pharmacy instead of his services.

THE DIAGNOSIS: A "SPAM" malware infiltrated via obsolete components.

WHAT WE AVOIDED:

đź’° TOTAL REVENUE BLOCKAGE: We prevented the booking tunnel from being paralyzed, which would have brought financial inflows to a complete halt.

📉 THE DOWNFALL OF E-REPUTATION: We limited the exposure of this fraudulent content before the establishment's prestigious image was permanently tarnished with customers and Google.

🛡️ SENSITIVE DATA THEFT: By immediately plugging the breaches, we cut short any attempt to extract customer files or contact data.

THE INTERVENTION: After many hours of cleaning and securing the site (updates, 2FA, removal of unauthorized access), it is finally safe. This stressful crisis could have been avoided with simple actions.
